While the sole is flat and actually fairly cushy, these new Fluevog's (my first pair) I bought in Vancouver are giving me the longest breaking in period I've ever had on a pair of shoes. The outside of my left foot is a little pinched and the top of the right shoe doesn't feel like it has enough give so my foot kind of crunches up against it as I walk.
But they look FABULOUS!!
