Second Taint of the Year

That's right, it taint Christmas and it taint New Years. Some year I just want to spend the week between Christmas Eve (Happy Birthday Mom!) and New Years Day drunk off my ass. Alcohol poisoning be damned!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy December Holiday and have an excellent New Year's Eve. Make sure you're near someone fun to kiss when that clock strikes twelve.

Must See for December

If you want to be fancy pants and see live theater (and you're kicking yourself for missing The Women), go to the Seattle Public theater at the Bathhouse (sounds fun already, doesn't it?) and see the one man show of Santa Land Diaries. Pretty much a verbatim performance of David Sedaris' essay on working as an elf at Macys in New York. I really enjoyed the performance I caught on Friday.

Or if you're in the mood for film...

Go see Juno. It's a super cute film with excellent performance by the entire cast, a great script, and a fun Garden State-y soundtrack. Great humor paired with amazingly sweet moments which will make you all kinds of misty. Probably one of the most touching movies out this holiday season.

Liza Minnelli collapses halfway through her set in Germany. But it seems she's ok.

Madonna is being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. But it seems the fact that she's slowly turning into creepy British cat lady (look at this picture:
)caused them to reverse the honor and just get her a tin of Fancy Feast.
